Director of Golf

Rapsodo Inc. is a sports analytics company that uses computer vision and machine learning to help all athletes maximize their performance. Our proprietary technology applications range from helping PGA Tour golfers optimize their launch conditions to allowing MLB pitchers to increase the efficiency on their breaking balls. Current partners include all 30 MLB teams, USA Baseball, SkyGolf, Mizuno, Golf Digest, AJGA, and 75% of NCAA baseball programs.

We are looking for an individual to manage and grow our golf business. This is a senior management position (reports directly to the General Manager, North America) with one of the fastest growing sports-tech companies in the US.

US, St. Louis

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Manage the sales, marketing, and product activities for all golf-related products and services
  • Direct and drive subscription revenue as well as all sales activities including pricing and programs for all distribution outlets including golf retailers, pro shops, online retailers, international distributors, Amazon, and Rapsodo.com
  • Work with the Marketing Director to manage all golf-related marketing activities including events, digital programs, SEO, social media, affiliates, and other advertising/promo opportunities
  • Manage and grow all golf partnerships including Golf Digest/Discovery Golf, AJGA, NextGen Golf, and multiple PGA sections
  • Manage all product management/development activities including product definitions, testing, refinement, and introduction. This includes guiding the activities of a global engineering team that has already created SkyTrak (https://www.skytrakgolf.com/) and the Mobile Launch Monitor (https://rapsodo.com/golf/mlm/)
  • Manage the Rapsodo Golf Sales, Ops, and Product staff while working collaboratively with the Marketing and Engineering/R&D departments
  • At least 10 years’ consumer products experience with minimum 5 years as lead manager in a sales, product, or business management role
  • More than 5 years of sports industry experience including working directly with specialty retailers, pro shops, online, and international distributors
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with app-focused, SaaS-driven products and services
  • Self–motivated leader who thrives in a start-up/small business environment
  • Multi-tasker who is used to developing strategy and implementing projects
  • Proven experience in managing a culturally diverse team and handling full P&L responsibility
