Product Development Coordinator

Rapsodo Inc. is a sports analytics company that uses computer vision and machine learning to help all athletes maximize their performance. Our proprietary technology applications range from helping PGA Tour golfers optimize their launch conditions to allowing MLB pitchers to increase the efficiency on their breaking balls. Current partners include all 30 MLB teams, MLB, USA Baseball, Golf Digest, PGA of America, and over 1000 NCAA athletic departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Development Coordinator plays a significant role in the development process for new software and hardware within Rapsodo’s Engineering team. Product Development Coordinators work closely with Product and Project Managers to deliver new products and features. The Product Development Coordinator role is a flexible role within the development team and consists of owning its own projects and features through their development lifecycle but also testing the hardware and software of a separate project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Contribute to planning and executing successful product initiatives
  • Assist Product Managers in shaping, informing, and coordinating product initiatives
  • Detailed reports on all testing activities
  • Work with the Development team to identify and capture test cases/environments and ensure version management
  • Setting up test environments and executing assigned testing scenarios
  • Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned parties
  • Work closely with Project Managers on all assigned cases/projects/tests
  • Test hardware and software using Rapsodo’s QA processes and guidelines including:
  1. Functionality, systems, product performance, regression and service.
  2. his will require throwing and hitting baseballs/softballs with a competitive velocity
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or equivalent
  • Technology competency and knowledge
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
  • Baseball and softball knowledge
  • Competitive baseball and softball playing experience
  • Analytical skills (comparative analysis, trend recognition, etc.)
  • Excellent on-site decision making
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain strict deadlines
