Rapsodo to Donate 10% of Sales to Charities

COVID-19 is having an unprecedented impact on people, businesses, communities, and events. The sports community is not immune to this disruption:

  • The NBA canceled the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.
  • The NHL has postponed their season.
  • The NCAA canceled the remainder of spring sports, including the iconic NCAA “March Madness” Tournament.
  • The MLB canceled the remainder of Spring Training and pushed back Opening Day indefinitely.
  • Universities have canceled in person classes and have resorted to completing the spring semester online. Some have canceled May 2020 commencement ceremonies.

Many businesses are now being forced to telework as Shelter in Place orders have been declared in many states and cities. Shelter in Place orders require people to stay inside their homes unless they need to make essential trips, such as grocery, pharmacy or bank runs. These orders allow people to go outside for walks, runs, hikes, etc. as long as people exercise caution and follow the 6 feet rule.

As people are physically being distanced from each other, now, more than ever, people need to come together.

Many of us at Rapsodo have at one point in time considered ourselves an athlete. We have baseball, softball, golf, basketball and soccer players on our team and we are all sports enthusiasts. Although most of us now only play recreationally, sport is a key component to our everyday lives and pastime.

We believe sport is one thing that can truly unite and bring together people regardless of distance, beliefs or backgrounds. We believe all people should have the opportunity to play.

With that being said, from now until June we will be donating 10% of our golf website sales to Right to Play and 10% of our diamond sports website sales to ABCA’s charity, Turn Two for Youth. We would like to do our part in supporting two organizations that have missions we strongly believe in.

Right to Play’s mission is to “protect, educate and empower children to rise above adversity using the power of play.”

Turn Two for Youth is a “a charitable organization formed to collect baseball equipment and distribute it to active children who need a little help.”

These charities unite underprivileged youth through sport and provide unique opportunities to kids who wouldn’t have the opportunity to play otherwise.

We all have a part to play in this time of need and this is just a fraction of what Rapsodo commits to do in these unprecedented times. Rapsodo hopes to not only grow the Diamond Sports and Golf communities, but to also bring the communities closer together.
