Working together to deliver industry leading softball technology and data-driven training tools

The Rapsodo Softball Advisors include college softball coaches and industry experts who allow us to continually improve our softball products. They provide early feedback on new releases letting us know what works and what needs improvement. With the help of our advisors, we are growing and transforming the game of softball.

Kelly Inouye-Perez

Kelly Inouye-Perez is the head softball coach at UCLA. In 2019, Inouye-Perez guided the Bruins to their 13th National Championship and 12th NCAA title. She and her staff were named the 2019 NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year and NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.

Patrick Murphy

Patrick Murphy is the head coach for the University of Alabama softball team. Murphy has taken Alabama to the top of the college softball world. Beginning with his days as an assistant in the very first years of the Alabama softball program, Murphy has emerged as the face of a team that has grown under his leadership to become one of the most consistently successful programs in the nation.

Melyssa Lombardi

Melyssa Lombardi is the head softball coach at the University of Oregon. She brought an elite championship resume to Eugene after 21 years at Oklahoma under head coach Patty Gasso. In addition to being named the nation’s top assistant in 2017, Lombardi was a part of four NFCA National Coaching Staffs of the Year, and 11 Regional Coaching Staffs of the Year.

Mike Candrea

Mike Candrea is the head coach of the University of Arizona softball team as the NCAA all-time leader in wins. Candrea also spent time internationally with USA Softball. Candrea served as the head coach of Team USA’s medal-winning teams. Candrea is one of the most respected coaches in the nation, with the accomplishments to supplement including eight national titles.

Josh Johnson

Josh Johnson, former associate head coach at Ball State, joined Mississippi State’s staff in 2019. He immediately began transforming MSU’s pitching staff. After finishing last or second to last in the SEC in nearly every pitching category the prior season, Johnson’s group ascended to the top of the league. The Bulldogs were fourth in the nation with a 1.36 ERA and second in the SEC in both strikeouts (245) and opponent’s batting average (.158).

Tim Walton

Tim Walton has established Florida softball as a national powerhouse. During the 2019 season, the Gators became back-to-back SEC Tournament Champions for the second time in program history. The five-time SEC Coach of the Year has led the Orange and Blue to 361 school records and numerous other SEC records.

Cindy Bristow

Cindy Bristow has been involved in every facet of softball throughout her 30-plus year career. She followed her successful playing career with an extensive coaching career. She is President of the National Softball Coaches Association, National Director of Junior Olympic Softball for the Amateur Softball Association, Director of National Teams and Coaching Development for USA Softball, and Director of Development for the International Softball Federation.

JT Gasso

JT Gasso has spent the past five seasons as Oklahoma’s assistant coach. During Gasso’s tenure, the Sooners have won four Big 12 regular season titles and two Big 12 Tournament crowns while making four Women’s College World Series appearances. Under Gasso’s offensive coaching, the Sooners hit 34 home runs in the shortened 2020 season, tied for seventh-most in the nation.

John Tschida

John Tschida is regarded among the elite coaches in college softball, coaching at St. Thomas. Tschida has been voted into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame. In addition, Tschida and his staff have been named the 2014, 2016 and 2019 Division III Midwest Regional Coaches of the Year by the NFCA. A two-time National Coach of the Year, Tschida has been named MIAC Coach of the Year 13 of his 26 seasons.

Mike White

After building the University of Oregon’s softball program into a consistent national power for 8 years, Mike White was named Head Softball Coach at The University of Texas in 2018.  White immediately put his stamp on the Texas program during his first season in 2019, leading the Longhorns to a No. 10 final ranking in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll as well as the first NCAA Regional title and NCAA Super Regional appearance.
