We develop sports analytics that uses computer vision and machine learning to help all athletes maximize their performance. Our proprietary technology applications range from helping PGA Tour golfers optimize their launch conditions to allowing MLB pitchers to increase the efficiency on their breaking balls. Current partners include all 30 MLB teams, USA Baseball, SkyGolf, Mizuno, Golf Digest, AJGA, and 75% of NCAA baseball programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Rapsodo continues to grow and expand our business in Asia and internationally, we are looking for a driven, empathetic, and dynamic Regional Business Development Manager, Golf. You will be providing strategic input, driving revenue, as well as day-to-day operational management of business development, sourcing, and engaging distributors for our Golf business in Asia Pacific. It is a strategically important role, and the successful applicant will be a critical contributor to our growth.

The successful incumbent will drive business development and revenue for the Rapsodo Golf brand and products in Asia Pacific. A highly collaborative player, this individual should be strategic, creative, and focused on building differentiated ideas and programs that deliver on brand, product, and channel goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and drive the Golf GTM strategy for Asia Pacific.
  • Responsible for driving and managing the execution of strategic initiatives to drive revenue and fulfil the corporate strategy of Rapsodo’s Golf business
  • Source for and work closely with APAC channel distributors to promote and sell Rapsodo Golf products
  • Coordinate product launches across multiple teams
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure proper execution and brand success of all golf marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the execution of all golf sponsorships and partnerships agreements.
  • Identifies and coordinates agreements with golf influencers including YouTube, Podcasts, etc.
  • Manage the coordination and execution of all golf events and trade shows.
  • Stays current on industry trends, consumer needs, competitive landscape, and seeks to understand changing market dynamics.
  • Analyses, tracks, and reports on golf marketing performance
  • Effectively leads, plans, coordinates, and communicates marketing projects and initiatives to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders including vendors, partners, and agencies to execute marketing plans and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Business and/or MBA qualifications.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proven track record of effectively engaging key stakeholders.
  • Highly energetic, enthusiastic, and hands-on problem solver
  • Strong team-player, agile and focused on execution.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on and proven retail b2b experience
  • Proven track record of delivering and executing market research projects of various scale and type.
  • Exposure, experience in, and wants to be within the sports ecosystem, especially cricket.
  • Genuine curiosity for insights, consumer behaviour, and adept at using multiple data sources (primary, secondary, analytics) to problem-solve and deliver business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and see beyond the numbers – able to distil the insights from the data and communicate this effectively to stakeholders and translate into strategies.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and love working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly ambiguous start-up environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environments and respond strategically to customer needs.
