Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.7 / 5 from 60 reviews.

The machine works well, but the software is difficult. At this time I am unable to go back and look at any previous sessions, whether on the computer or ipad. The only feedback I'm getting for my boys is real time, we can't go back and compare.

It was a great investment to our baseball team!

We love it. We use it daily. Our first device broke and customer service was great getting it replaced.

We have had it about 2 weeks now. I like that it shows exit velo, distance, spin direction, etc. We just need to learn how to use the numbers to make improvements in the swing. I like the replay feature with video, but it doesn't do as well as my phone's slo mo. Not high enough frame rate from the ipad. Also not sure if you can only use edgertronic cameras or if you can connect any camera. Edgertronics are very expensive and not worth it for our home use. Overall, I like it and am working to get better.

Getting useful feedback. Great product.

Everything I thought it would be! We advertised.

This unit has been very helpful for our pitchers! Easy to setup, and user friendly. Loads pitches faster than previous unit, and gives useful insight for pitch shapes and ball flight. Highly recommend!

It’s great.

Purchase process was absolutely wonderful!!! I had purchased the 2.0 hitting and pitching 2.0 separate units and put a call into Rapsodo to ask a few questions and was offered the upgrade at an incredible deal with the 2 player membership. 1 simple phone call later and everything was ordered . A return label was emailed to me to ship the 2 other 2 units back and the process was completed

Sleek design

Has been a huge upgrade from the original 1.0 we had

I've been wanting a Rapsodo for years & finally made the purchase; could not be any more happy with it. It's exacting what I was hoping for.

I love the rapsodo. I can't wait for the weather to improve here in rainy seattle so i can take it outside some more.

Works well. Much improved of the first model.

Just getting ready to meet with my staff to go over the technology set up and schedule for use during our summer season. We received the 2.0 in a smooth timely fashion and my staff is reviewing set up and logging in procedures etc.

Data is inaccurate for the hitting side since the update

Love it

It has many connection issues and seems to update about once a week. We use a pitching machine at times placed at 50’ from home plate throwing real baseballs at 70ish mph. The rapsodo will go on long runs of not reading any data. It’s very frustrating and I feel that I overpaid for a mediocre training tool. The sensor is placed at the correct distance from home plate and the IPad is right next to the hitter. I feel it’s a standard setup and exactly how the system is designed to be placed. I also feel it is not very accurate as occasionally it will show a 100 plus mph exit velo. When his average is in the high 70’s to low 80’s with a max of 90-91. It’s fun to have, but it seems it is more of a toy and not a tool.

Reliable reading and very accurate !!

Customer video review of PRO 2.0 Baseball

Great experience so far. Still learning how to utilize it.

Great tool to show results in live abs in the cage

Easy set up. The turn around time from pitch or swing to collect data is great. Awesome tool to track growth and player development.

Working much better now. Had some initial issues but after update it seems to be working well.

Great product! Easy set up plus real time valuable information for players and coaches!

.

I think the new app is a big improvement over the old one. Really liking the 2.0 Pro for pitching. One thing I'd love to see in the app is a way to adjust the strike zone to fit the age of the pitcher. A major league zone is really tight for younger players. Would be nice if there was a youth zone for example so you don't have a kid throw a good pen and then look at the data and see they threw 20% strikes in big league zone that would be more like 60% with a youth zone. Just a thought. Thanks.

It’s been great so far in our testing. Excited to use it with our guys when we start next week.

Product works great

Everything we expected! Works fantastic!

Great product!

Really awesome product when it works. It only reads about 80% of the time and distance estimates are about 30-40 ft off.

Will be a great addition to the farm here in Florida . It will help parents and Players close the gap on everything we have been teaching for the the past 16years when we discuss disconnect and connection drills for better performance and results . Ol goat finally moving to new ways to communicate. Coach Pryor

It has been awesome so far!!

I have yet to receive the iPad, banner and case for the Rapsodo. We’ve been waiting for over 2 weeks. Thanks Greg

Christmas present for my 15 year old who watches Bat Bros videos around the clock and he loved it. Had to stop him at 300 swings on Christmas Day to enjoy other things.

Working with Tyler was great. He made sure the upgrade went seamlessly. The unit itself is excellent and will serve our needs for a long time.

Players are loving the data it is giving them!

Good

Easy to set up and use. Great addition to our resources.

Excellent job on the new update, great job guys!! -Mark

You’ve got questions?
we’ve got answers.

What is required to operate the PRO 2.0?

1. An active Rapsodo Membership is required to use the PRO 2.0.

2. The PRO 2.0 will utilize a new application called ‘Rapsodo Baseball’. An iPad is necessary to connect the PRO 2.0 to the app and record data. iPad model and operating system are subject to change.

a. Operating System: iOS 17.7 or newer

b. Devices:

i. iPad Pro: 3rd generation and newer

ii. iPad Air: 3rd generation and newer

iii. iPad: 9th generation and newer

What are the criteria for a hit or pitch to be captured by the PRO 2.0?

1. For baseball use, the PRO 2.0 must be placed 20ft from home plate on flat ground, measured from the front edge of home plate to the front edge of the device’s hitting side.

2. The PRO 2.0 device has a velocity threshold of roughly 40 MPH for pitching velocity and hitting exit velocity. Therefore, any shot under that speed will not be able to trigger the device consistently to record data.

3. For pitching sessions, the PRO 2.0 Baseball offers mound distances of 45, 50, 54, and 60’ 6”.

4. In hitting sessions, incoming pitches can be delivered from various distances if the PRO 2.0 has an unobstructed view of the batter. The PRO 2.0 device will sit 20ft from the front edge of home plate to the front edge of the device’s hitting side. We offer hitting session options for tee work, soft toss, Live/BP, and pitching machine.

What functionality options are available with the PRO 2.0?

1. The PRO 2.0 allows the user to choose what type of data collection the device can do and pay for it accordingly. The options include: Hitting only, Pitching only, or the ability to capture both Hitting or Pitching data.

2. If you originally purchased a Hitting-only OR Pitching-only device and later would like to upgrade to a “combo device” (Hitting AND Pitching), a one-time activation device license fee of $1,000 will be required. This can be managed inside the Rapsodo Cloud portal on the Device Management tab.

Will the PRO 2.0 work for both Baseball and Softball?

Yes! The PRO 2.0 can now provide baseball and softball functionality using our new exclusive apps – Rapsodo Baseball and Rapsodo Softball. Customers will be able to purchase a membership add-on to accommodate both sports. Utilizing a dual sport membership will incur additional annual fees.

Is there an option to trade-in my current Rapsodo device(s)?

Yes. Click to learn more about the Pro Series Upgrade Program.
